Ques : A train running at a speed of 30km/hr. The train is 100 meter long. Find the time taken by it to pass a man
standing near the railwayline?

Ans: Speed of train = 30 km/hr
= 30*(5/18) m/sec // multiply with 5/18 to convert km/hr to m/sec
= 25/3 m/sec

Distance moved in passing the standing man = 100m
Required time taken = 100 / (25/3)
= 100 * (3/25)
= 12 sec
